When one says cardio, we all automatically think that it has something to do with the heart. Well, that's because it does. But why do we have to make sure that this particular system in our body should be taken cared of in the best way possible?

If that's the case, then it looks like it's time for you to get back on that exercise routine of yours and get those muscles back in shape. 1. Have you given some jogging a thought?

If you haven't been contemplating about jogging, maybe you should give it a second thought. Jogging is like the thing that's halfway between walking and running. Jogging can be an enjoyable experience as it is an invaluable exercise regimen for people that are young and old alike especially when you're doing it out on the park. Being a bit heavy on the weighing scale shouldn't bring you down neither should be shortness of breath. The first few days are usually the most challenging cause you need to build up your strength and get your body used to this type of physical activity.

2. If that isn't your cup of tea, why don't you try out some swimming?

Does Michael Phelps ring a bell? Of course it does. Did you know that people who have viewed the 2008 Beijing Olympics totaled to about 4.7 Billion people? Quite an astonishing feat wouldn't you say. Not all of us can reach the Olympics but all of us can swim. It's actually not that hard. And the best part of swimming is that this is actually the best form of exercise. And that isn't just wishful thinking. If you swim as much as Michael Phelps does, you'll find out that you can actually eat anything you want and still look as good as if you didn't eat an ounce of food at all.

3. How about some cycling? Anybody up for it?

We are not talking Tour De France here. Neither are we asking you to become the next Lance Armstrong. Cycling, especially when you're on a real bike, is a great form of exercise. It strengthens both your leg muscles and your cardiovascular endurance. That makes a great form of exercise for you and for everyone. And to get your mind off the strain you're probably going to feel, you can enjoy the great scenery that you'll come across with.
